Linde is currently seeking a Head of Maintenance and Reliability to join the team in Stewartsville, New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provides management direction and professional development for four direct reports and a total direct staff of 13 professional engineers and managers. Also has dotted line responsibility for 5 (w/Cantarell) regional plant maintenance managers, reliability, and CBM engineers. In additional has management responsibility for consultant staff (5-10) typical for peak shaving or capital project support requirements
• Establish a culture of safety in working with regional plant maintenance managers, plant engineers, field operations and service providers in the execution of all aspects of the role requirements
• Ensure that RBU owned and operated plants meet or exceed reliability requirements:
► Overall ownership of the Supply Asset Management System including:
 - Spares and maintenance procedures optimization
 - Management of equipment obsolescence
 - Statutory record keeping and equipment regulatory compliance management
 - Maintenance business processes and procedural content ownership
► Pro-active reliability monitoring, plant Healthcheck, and contingency audit
► Condition based maintenance (CBM) program ownership
► Execution of related M&R initiatives or projects to close cost or quality gaps
► Major maintenance planning – scope, budget, priority, spares and vendor selection/management
► Yearly area budget development and ownership for Supply M&R opex, minor capex, and maintenance expense budgets
• Track emergent plant events when they occur and ensure that comprehensive pro-active leadership and support is provided, root cause is determined, and that lessons learned are developed and implemented
• Support Commercial (revenue) initiatives through Tonnage capital and specialized project proposal support, due diligence efforts, direct customer support and plant/equipment commercialization activities. Provide discipline engineering support for subsequent execution of proposed projects.
• Collaborate with global tonnage platforms to ensure that global best operating practices are identified and implemented. Serve as RNA representative on global reliability peer team
• Ensure M&R direct and field staff are properly trained:
► LiMSS/Traccess is effectively utilized; platform LiMSS content is developed and managed
► Training is administered and effectiveness measured
► Ensure that job descriptions and personal development plans are current and in place for all roles in the area
► Own and maintain RBU maintenance standards and procedures
• Ensure Process Safety and regulatory compliance is maintained:
► Engineering Management of Change
► Related corrective action management
► Participation in industry forums such as CGA, EIGA
► Support major incident investigations, root cause analysis and lessons learned
► Working with PSM / Regulatory ensure that all pipelines and pressure vessels are maintained per statutory requirements
• Project Manage significant change management or business process improvement programs
• Support the HyCO group with specialized discipline support on projects, emergent events, or continuous improvement initiatives


Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years experience in a chemical industry operational environment. Very experienced in engineering, maintenance processes as well as having very strong leadership, team development and change management capabilities
• Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering degree required. Graduate level business degree a plus
• Senior line management experience of engineering or technical staff required
• Must have demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement and process re-engineering in own and interdependent areas. Six Sigma qualification a plus.

► Change Management – demonstrated success in executing change efforts across large groups
► Knowledgeable in plant operations. Can effectively identify and evaluate technical and business process opportunities and translate to financial terms to support investment and business case development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
